Trip to Arno!

On the 20^th of January Drew, Travis, afew of the disciples and myself made a trip over to Arno. It was a great trip and a time of teaching,preaching and showing the Jesus film. Wearrived on Friday night and setup to show the Jesus film at the school on Arno,Arno.

Many people showed up to see themovie. The equipment provided to us bythe Jesus Film project worked perfectly. We were able to show the whole movie before the rain started. Before we could give the altar call the rainbegan to fall and we had to pack up. Thenext day we received many reports from those who were touched by themovie. Praise the Lord, the Gospel washeard by many.

Saturday morning Drew started off the sessions withan awesome message to the men of the Arno Full Gospel Church. That evening Ryan Debrum preached a messageto the people and I shared on vision with the church. It was a great time in the Lord and a fullday sharing the Word.

The next morning we dedicated the leadership for thechurch and shared on unity in the body of Christ. We prayed for the sick and saw several healedimmediately by the power of God. Sundayevening Drew ministered again and we once again showed the Jesus film to thepeople. It was a great weekend sharingthe Word of God spending time with the church there on Arno Arno.

Please pray for Pastor Waston and Jamie as they leadthe church there. We are making plans togo back in April with trips to several of the atolls there in Arno. Thank you for your partnership with us. You are truly helping to reach people forJesus in the Marshall Islands.

Trip to the US!

Good day from the islands,
In a little over two weeks we will be coming stateside for two months. Our time in the states will be from 3 February to 1 April 2012. This will be the first time that Shawn and I have been there together in over 5 years. We are looking forward to getting some rest and reconnecting with all of you.

Christmas and Christmas Break!

Good day from the islands. Well yesterday ACA started back up after the Christmas break. The children and staff enjoyed a two break from school. On the last day of school they had a field day and everyone participated. The staff and the children really enjoyed it. It was awesome to see them having fun together. That is what we love about running this school, everyone is like family here. We have an awesome Christian staff that is making a difference in the lives of so may children.
Christmas eve we had dinner with Drew, Sarah and the kids. It was a great meal and a great time.

On Christmas day we spent the day at Rairok Full Gospel church. We started at 10 am and ended at 3:04 am the next morning. It was an awesome day celebrating the birth of Jesus!

Well last weekend was a busy weekend. Travis got married. Yes, he and Malissa got married and it was as wonderful ceremony. Staff Changes!

Good day from the islands. Well life on the mission field is always changing. Last week we had say goodbye to Janet Waiti. She had to leave us to take care of her family. She has been a faithful, steadfast teacher here at the school. For four years she has taught with us and so now we say good bye. What does that mean? We are believing God for a new teacher for that class. We will miss Janet and know that God has everything under control in all of our lives.

Even with one teacher leaving God has opened the door for a new staff member. Ryan Debrum has joined our staff at Mission Ventures MI. Ryan will be accompanying us to the outer islands and ministering here on Majuro. One of his duties is the chaplin for our K - 8th grade school. We welcome him and know that he will be a valuable member to our staff. Please keep all of our staff in your prayers and we continue to build the Kingdom here in the Marshall islands. Wind Power!

Just wanted to write a quick post on alternate energy here on the compoud. Right now in the Marshall Islands electricity is at 42 cents a Kilowatt hour. One of the most expensive in the pacific. On top of that the generators are all doing major maintenance. They have been fairly reliable for the last few months but according to experts they are on their last leg. The power company is behind in paying for fuel and that coupled with no spare parts causes major problems.
With out current usage cut down to bare minimums are electricity bill is between 450 to 550 dollars a month. For the last couple of years we have been putting together a system to get off the grid and on to our own power. We had three generators online at one time which cut our bill immensely. We lost a generator a couple of months ago and now we having to use more power plant electricity. Wings of Eagles in Lakeland, Florida helped us get the wire to get things back online. Now we are trying to replace the broken wind generator. The money that we save will help us reach more outer islands with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
So this post is to give you more information on what we need. The generator if possible needs to be weather proofed due to the salt air and generate power at 24 volts. That is all there is to it. Good day from the islands,
For so many this weekend has been a weekend full of shopping and getting ready for the holidays. But on Thursday we stopped and gave thanks for all that we have. For us here in the islands it is not a holiday and the week keeps moving on teaching and sharing the Gospel. However, all of us take time everday to thank the Lord for the things He does for us on a daily basis.
This year has been full of challenges and obstacles. What has looked impossible to us has always been taken care of by our Father in heaven. It has been amazing to see Him at work in so many areas of our lives and ministy. Thank you Jesus that you are ever faithful. This year we have a new daughter in law, Terina. A new grand daughter, Kanani. Travis is getting married, Richard is preparing to start college. We have so many things to be thankful for.
We want to thank all of Winter Haven Worship center for raising the funds for the engine last weekend. Thank you so much. Thank you Family Worship Center in Virginia for all of your faithful prayers and support. All Faiths church in Lehigh Acres, Florida thank you. For all of you who send care packages, thank you so much.
To all of our individual supporters a big thank you and God bless you. You are truly our partners here in the Gospel.

Prayer Requests!

Good day from the islands,
We have two prayer requests this morning. We would ask that all of you agree with us for these two needs.
1. Dengue fever continues to increase here in Majuro. As of last week the paper recored 154 cases confirmed. This does not include those who are at home trying to take care of it at home. We now know that the numbers are much larger than that. The hospital is full to capacity and all available space is being used for patients. We continue to pray for the sick and see healings but the number of cases continue to increase. Please agree with us that this outbreak will be stopped in the name of Jesus!

2. We have found a rebuilt engine in Australia for our diesel bus. To get it shipped in and installed will cost of $4,200 dollars. Praise the Lord. We are believing God for $4200 to cover this cost. We need asap $1700 to lock it in and get it shipped to Majuro. This is much better than 21 to 27000 for a new bus. We still need a new bus but with this bus repaired it will take a lot of pressure off of us in many ways. Please agree with us for the funds. On the way to start picking up!

It's getting full!

Here is a few pictures from a normal morning of picking up students for class. You see for us it is not about just education but it is about changing lives for Jesus! It is so wonderful to have the privilege of being able to share the Gospel with these kids everyday. We have a total now of 87 students that attend, Ajeltake Christian Academy. Over the last five years we have seen so many positive changes in the students that have attend here. We give all the glory to God for this area of our ministry. Shawn, Sarah and the entire staff give one hundred percent everyday. This is a non profit school and we thank God that every need has been met and every bill is paid on time. Pitts Update!

Good afternoon,
I just wanted to take a moment and give you an update on the Pitts family. All of them are doing well, healthy and happy. The kids have adapted well and are enjoying island life. Drew is teaching in CTC and Sarah of course is working in ACA. Drew at times when there is no CTC helps out in ACA as well.
Both of them are learning the culture and are adapting to customs and the way things are done here in the islands. They are learning the language and taking on new challenges every day. Living on an atoll in the pacific ocean has it own challenges trust me.

There are no MacDonald's, Walmarts and shopping malls here so getting used to shopping here, well let's just say it is an all day event. During the semester break all of them got to go on the field trip with the school. They went and spent the day on a small island and had a great time. Drew and Travis have been spearfishing and Sarah is playing softball with the ladies in Laura. The kids as I said before are thriving here. Of course all of them miss family and friends in the states. So, keep them in your prayers and when you have time, drop them an email they would love to hear from you!

Urgent Needs Please Read!

Good morning from the islands,
We wanted to present you an urgent need we have here in the islands. The first one is urgent and we wanted to make you aware of it. As many of you know we have three buses that we use here in the ministry. Two of them we have had on the road for over six years now. That is well beyond what is normal for a vehicle here in the islands. We have replaced floors and the engine in one of our buses. A couple of weeks ago we let you know about the trouble with our diesel bus. We have since found out that the block is blown. Now that bus is out of commision.
Our oldest bus is still working but only in a limited capacity, due to some issues with cooling. So at this time we are runniing on one bus. This bus is now doing triple duty transporting 80 students to class, supporting CTC and our other ministries here on the island. Our buses are an integral part of our ministry here. We use them six days a week. These are not luxury items or just used once or twice a week. Buses are the backbone of our ministry. We are currently looking for a rebuilt engine maybe our of Australia or Fiji but we have not found one at this time!
With that said we need your help. Number one, we need you to pray and agree with us for new buses. Number two, spread the word to others to hook up with us. Number three, if you feel led to help us please contact us. We know that God is more than enough and where there is vision there is provision!
The second thing we need is two replacement wind generators to help offset power costs here. Electricity is now at .41 cents a kilowatt hour. Just at minimal usage that can be up to 600 dollars a month. The reason we are presenting this need is because of some damage done during a major storm over a month ago. The money that we save on electricity costs goes into our outreaches throughout the islands! Supervisor Training WeeK!

What a week it has been at the ACA school. Ms Paula and Abigail Schmidt came all the way from Guam to train our teachers! From Monday through Friday it was non stop, to include a lot of homework for the teachers. Ms Paula and Abigail are volunteers for Accelerated Christian Education (ACE), the makers of the curriculum we use here in the school. The week of training included training in all areas of how to run the school.

Our teachers excelled all week long and did a great job. The instructors, provided first class quality instruction. We are looking forward to implementing the techniques that were taught this week. We also thank God for divine connections that help us move forward in the vision He has given us! We also want to thank Paula and Abigail Schmidt for coming and helping our school. Training Week!

Bus Update!

Good day from the islands. It is a wonderful day to serve the Lord here in Majuro! This morning I just wanted to give everyone an update on our buses. As many of you know, supporters and Family Worship Center in Virginia helped us get a new bus last year! What a blessing that has helped us here in our ministry here in Majuro. Our buses are one of our key tools to our work here on the main island. Our buses average about 30,000 miles a year traveling all over this 30 mile atoll.

These buses support the schools ACA and CTC. They also help doing evangelism outreaches and transporting people back and forth to ministry events. Over the years we have had stewarded these vehicles and they have last past their life here in the islands. We have replaced metal floors with wood. We have swapped out engines on one bus, rebuilt an engine on the diesel bus and have salvaged wrecks to keep them running. They have been tools that have helped us impact a nation.

Our two older buses are now costing us more and more to keep them on the road! It is time for a new bus. We would like to ask all of you to pray and agree with us for a new bus for the ministry here in the islands. A new bus will cost about 22,000! Please take time to pray about this issue today. We know that God is faithful and will provide what we need here in the islands. Christian Motocycle Association!

Four years ago a couple of men came and visited the Marshall islands. One was Steve Beam and the other was the president of the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA), John Ogden Sr. During that visit several things happened. One was that CMA saw the need for a boat to help the outer islands. Within just a few months CMA had provided a boat to help in the outer islands.
The second thing that happened, happened after a Sunday morning service. While sitting around the table after lunch with several pastors, John asked how he could help them. Pastor Ronald mentioned that they would like to have the Jesus film in the Marshallese language. John said they could do it! Four years later John, a man of his word returned with the movie in the Marshallese language!
We want to thank John Ogden Sr and all of the members of the Christian Motorcycle Association for not only this great tool but for all they are doing around the world! This organization is involved in the Jesus Film project and in providing motorcycles to Pastors around the world! This is a first class Holy Ghost organization dedicated to spreading the Gospel. Jesus Film in Marshallese!

Last week we had the privilege of premiering the Jesus film in Marshallese here in the Majuro. We showed it on Friday and Saturday nights. The first showing was at Rairok Full Gospel church and the second showing was at the Salvation Army’s building. Over 1000 people saw the film the first time in Marshallese! We are so excited about having this new tool to share the Gospel here in the Marshall islands.

We also had several guests here from the US and New Zealand for the showings. A big thank you to Chris and LuAnne Mcquirk, Lynn and Nancy Mayfield, Matt Anderson, Chase Henry, Adam Jones, Doug Sarver and John Ogden Sr. It was a privilege to have them here. They are from different organizations all supporting the Jesus film project! Praise the Lord for their faithfulness and dedication to share the Gospel around the world. This team also brought us another tool with the film. They have given us a backpack full of equipment to show the Jesus film anywhere. The backpack includes a project, sound system, screen, battery and a solar panel. That means power or no power it does not matter it is a totally self contained system. Praise the Lord! And yes that is the projector that you see in my hand! That means wherever we travel in the out islands we can show the film to the people. We give all the glory and praise to the Father for this great tool to share the Gospel. Chairs Needed!

It is one of the things that all of us use everyday. The chair! We relax in it, eat in, watch sports with it and everywhere we go there is a chair. Portable chairs, soft chairs, rocking chairs we literally have made chairs for every situation to make sure that we are comfortable wherever we go. Some churches now take pride on how comfortable their seats are. I remember growing up in a church where the seats were wooden and no padding. I have been to churches with wooden pews that there was no way to get comfortable. But now most churches have comfortable seats for the people who come. What am I driving at?

We need your help! On the atoll of Ebeye there is a growing church Pastored by Anwi and Wendy Morris. Through their ministry, over the years the church has continued to grow. They out grew the building, now they are outside under a shelter. Even now they have outgrown their current shelter and have filled all of the chairs. People come and stand around the outside listening to the Word. Some sit on the ground just to be touched by the Spirit of God. People are getting saved and healed every week. They need chairs. We are not talking about 100 to 200 dollar theater seats. We are talking simple plastic chairs, 15.00 a piece. We are believing God for 100 chairs! Just think, 100 people could make this happen, one church could do it at one swoop. Bottom line is, if they had 100 chairs they would be filled the first Sunday they had them. Would you like to help? Are you willing to skip a couple of lunches to help a church fill the house and build the kingdom of God?

ACA Starts the New School Year!

The kids are back to school at ACA! During the summer we added ramps and did some much needed repairs to the compound. We are now in our third week and things are going well. The kids are happy to be back and so is the staff! This year we have two new special needs students one who is blind and the other who has to use a wheel chair. We look forward to working with these new students and seeing what God will do in their lives.

Sarah Pitts has joined Shawn on the staff and is doing an awesome job already. Cheyanne, Luke and Sam are in classes and doing great. It is a joy to see them joining in with the other kids in the school. Please keep us in prayer this year. We started off two teachers short this year. We have filled one position have one more to fill. Also our principal Pastor Apet will be leaving us in December and we need to fill his position. Please agree with us for these two positions to be filled quickly. Thank you for all of your faithful prayers and support. You are truly our partners in the ministry here in the Marshall Islands.

The Pitts Family Has Arrived!

As many of you know we have been praying and believing for someone to come and partner with us here in the islands. Over a year ago we began talking with Drew and Sarah Pitts about coming to join us here! We knew from the beginning that this was the plan of God. Drew and Sarah for over a year have been raising support to come! Well on Tuesday July 19th Drew flew in! Praise the Lord! He came a week early to begin preparing the place where they would be living here in the Marshall islands. For an entire week he worked constantly preparing for the family's arrival! There was and is much to be done but Drew pressed on!

One week later on July 26th Sarah, Cheyanne, Luke and Sam arrived here in the Marshall islands. Excited and ready to go! The family is all together and here with us in the Marshall Islands! Right now they are settling in and getting things in order. At the time of this writing their internet has not been hooked up yet but it will be soon. Then I am sure they will contact everyone and give them an update. Cheyanne, Luke and Sam are doing great and from the very beginning they made friends on the first day.

We are so excited about Drew and Sarah being here! We know that God is going to do mighty things through them here in the Marshall Islands. We will keep you updated on them. Thank you as always for your faithful prayers and support!

Conference Time!

The first two weeks of July was conference time here in the Marshall Islands! Marshallese from the outer islands, Hawaii and the mainland all converged on Majuro to worship the Lord! It was the 7th Full Gospel Conference! This year's theme was "Choose Today"! Taken from Joshua 24:15, were Joshua challenged the people to choose who they would serve! God or other gods! Throughout the week lives were changed by powerful preaching and teaching. Pastor Ronald Matthew and the pastors delivered awesome messages by the Holy Ghost. As always it is a great joy to preach and teach alongside these men and women of God!

Many were changed but the Spirit of God throughout the week. The Spirit continually challenged the people to make a choice in how they live there lives. The second week of the conference was the pastors and leaders seminar. Pastor Ronald, Pastor Anwi and myself taught throughout the week. It was a great time of strengthening each other in the Lord for the work we are called to do!
This main conference is held every two years and this year I believe was the biggest I have attended. The hunger of the people for the Word and the things of the Spirit was truly amazing. All of us throughout the conference felt and urgency to preach the Gospel! It is not a time to draw back but to push forward with building the kingdom! We are truly in the last days!
So today ask yourself, who am I serving? Are you serving yourself or the true and living God! I leave you with this verse!

Joshua 24:15: And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

CTC, Upcoming Conferences, and Other Things!

Christian Training Center, CTC, has been for the last two day taking their tests on Revelation. We currently have 15 disciples studying with us. They are all doing well and sharing the Gospel every day. We are currently planning outer island trips for them in the fall please keep them in your prayers. Our plans are to complete one more class before conference time.

With that said people from the outer islands are already arriving by boat here on Majuro. They are getting ready for the General Conference from 10 July until 17 July. It is a time for all of the churches to gather together and worship the Lord! We will be minister both mornings and evening during this week! If you have time come and join us here in Majuro for a great time in the Lord!

After the main conference we will be doing a leadership seminar with all of the pastor and leaders. Needless to say it will be a busy two weeks. Also during the second week, Drew Pitts will arrive and begin to make preparations for his family’s arrival here in Majuro! Please keep the Pitts family in your prayers as they come and join us here in Majuro. After the conference we have trips coming up to Wotje, Ebeye and Utrik atoll. Please keeps us in your prayers as we plan these trips.

On June 10^th 2011, Kanani Michelle Clark was born. She weighed 5 lbs and 12 ozs. She is the daughter of Stephen and his wife Terina. Mother and baby are doing well! Thank you all for your prayers during this time!

ACA Awards Ceremony!

On May 28^th we had the awards ceremony for Ajeltake Christian Academy for the 2010-2011 school year. Like every year it was a packed house. Many awards were given for academic achievement and there were several special performances. This year we saw four more students graduate the 8^th grade and are now on the way to high school. It is sad to see them go, but we are confident that they will do well. Shawn had three special graduates this year Darren, Reab, and Dolores. For a time, all three of these young people worked with Shawn to get their GEDs. Since we do not have a high school program currently at our school, this was a special tutoring program that Shawn was doing.

This year these three moved into different schools on the islands. Darren finished his GED and graduated. Reab and Dolores attended SDA this year and both graduated. All three students have passed the college entrance exam and will be attending college this fall. Praise the Lord! All three of these were students who were way behind when they came to us, but now they are going on to college. Even though they did not graduate from us, we thank God that we provided the help they needed to be able to finish their education.

Last but not least, I want to talk about our high school graduate. I know we do not have high school, but this young man is very special. He came to our school in the 2007-2008 school years. His family let us know that he was way behind. In fact, when he graduated 8^th grade, he was not able to pass the test for entering any high school in the Marshall Islands. School was over for him. He spent several years out of school before his grandfather came to us. The school system had given up on him. Shawn took him in and said we will take care of it. After testing Abraham, we discovered that he could not read at all and his math level was about 2^nd grade level. He took an interest in school and worked hard to learn. Last year, when he found out his family could not pay tuition he worked on the compound all summer so he could stay in school.

He then attended a vocational program for carpentry and passed it with no problem. He then returned to school to finish up here. Abraham never gave up and completed all of his requirements. Abraham is a special education student with multiple learning disabilities. We are happy to say he is graduated and will start college in the fall. He was told he could never do it, and would never make it to college. In the true spirit of the overcomer, he overcame his weaknesses and walked away in victory. It is a privilege to work with these children and young people. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. Thanks as always to Mom and Dad Clark who got us the awards on time, just like every year… You all are our partners in the work here in the Marshall Islands.

Garden Project!

Living on an atoll in the middle of the Pacific certainly comes with its own set of challenges. Everything that we use comes in either by ship or by airplane. One of the most important things of course is food. As I am sure that you have seen even where you live price for food continue to climb. That certainly impacts us here in the islands. Imagine broccoli at 4 dollars a pound or paying over two dollars for a cucumber.

We have tried a garden before with limited success. Some things grow and others do not. The main problem is nutrients within the soil. Because the soil is on the top of corral the nutrients are quickly leached out of the soil making it basically dead. There is one place on Majuro that crops can be grown and that is in Laura. So we set out to solve the problem.

In the pictures you see vegetables growing in blue containers. The same containers you can find in Wal Mart or any other store. The project you see is being done by the Diabetes Wellness Center here in Majuro. They are successfully growing everything in these containers. The reason it is working well is that the nutrients do not leach out of the soil. It is working well and providing all the vegetables needed to run the wellness center.

With that said we have got the information on how to grow vegetables this way. So what do we need now? We want to obtain 20 of these containers to start our garden. Here, these simple blue containers cost between 10 to 15 dollars a piece when they are available. In the states, they are about 3 to 4 dollars a piece. How can you help? We are looking for a few people who will mail three or four of these containers to us here in the islands to help us with this project. Also we need people who would like to send sends. Upcoming Events!

Good day from the islands. The school year is beginning to wind down and the summer is on the horizon. It has been a really good year with our Kindergarten through 8^th grade students at Ajeltake Christian Academy. It has not been without challenges though. Moving into the new building increased our students by 75 percent and doubled our staff! But Shawn and our wonderful Holy Ghost Christian staff handled the changes smoothly. With that said this is the final week of school with the awards ceremony on Friday.

After school is out Shawn, Travis and Richard will be heading to the states for six weeks. They will be leaving here on 13 June and returning on 24 July. This will be a time of rest and medical appointments for Richard and Shawn. They are looking forward to the break. We want to thank our home church, Winter Haven Worship Center for their generous help with the tickets. We still need a little more for Travis’ tickets but we know that it will all work out.

Stephen and Terina are expecting our first granddaughter this week on May 26^th. So it is going to be a busy week if she is on time. Please keep them in prayer as we await the arrival of our first grandchild. As for me, I will remain in Majuro this year. There are a lot of things to do over the break. I will also be the speaker for the General Conference of the Full Gospel Churches, from 2 July to 10. The following week we will be teaching and training pastors and leaders from the churches.

Along with that we will be teaching in CTC and doing maintenance around the compound. Then when Shawn comes back she will be accompanied by Drew and Sarah Pitts. They are coming to work with us here in Majuro. We are so excited about their arrival. It is certainly an answer to prayer in so many ways. With them on board we will be able to tackle projects that have been on hold and expand into new areas. It is an exciting time to have them come. Please pray for them as they come and work with us here in the Marshall Islands.

Church on Fire!

Last Tuesday we traveled to Ebeye atoll to spend a week with the Full Gospel Church there. The church is pastored by Anwi and Wendy Morris. We flew to Kwajalein and then took the ferry over to Ebeye! The church was there to meet us. It was awesome to see those that we knew and the many new faces there in the church. This is a church that sees people come to the Lord every week. Tuesday night we started our meetings. From the very first night the Spirit of God was moving and lives were being changed. This is a church that is strong in prayer, and has a passion for the Word of God. As we ministered, we could see people gathering on the outside to see what was going on. Praise the Lord, when the Spirit is moving people are drawn to the Gospel.

Every morning, from four to six, prayer groups are praying for the church and for the people of the Marshall Islands. Each morning we met with the people and prayed. This is a church who believes in the power of prayer. The meetings then started every night at seven. We saw people saved, healed and changed by the power of God. It was not because anyone special was there! The Spirit was moving in answer to the prayers of the people. Glory to God, His Spirit is moving around the world changing people every day.

Because of the growth of the church they are no longer inside of a building. They have built a shelter outside and have already filled it to capacity. There are no more chairs for the people and many sit on mats to hear the Word. The members that go to work at four in the morning were staying until ten thirty at night and then coming back to prayer at four. What passion they have for the things of God.

Ebeye is not an easy place to live. Right now there is no gas or diesel for the vehicles they have. They live very close together with water and sewage problems. Between seventeen to eighteen thousand people live on a place about as big as an airport runway. It is amazing! But in the middle of all this, worship and praises are heard. In the middle of this, the spirit of the over comer is there and the kingdom of God is being built. Please keep the Ebeye church in your prayers and all of our outer islands churches as well. It is such a privilege to serve with men and women of God like this. Thank you for all of your faithful prayers and support. With your help we are able to serve church here in the Marshall Islands and reach the lost. Blessings in the name of Jesus!

Last Thursday, 10 March, we flew out to Wotje atoll. During the flight I wondered what had changed since I had been there last. Because of different things going on it had been almost 18 months since my last trip there. I was very anxious to get on the ground and see what God has been doing there. As we made the approach to the dirt landing strip I could see the church to the right hand of the runway and people there waiting. When I stepped off the plane there was Pastor Will to meet me with a big smile on his face.

It was good to see him and as we walked to the church I could see that things had been happening on this small atoll. As we round the corner I could see the new church where it was being built. Footer and columns in place getting ready for the next stage in building. I was amazed at the size, 100 feet by 50 feet. That is really big for an outer island church. I asked Will about the size and he said that is what God had put on his heart to build. Praise the Lord for vision. Pastor Will’s plan is to fill it with the lost.

We began to talk about his growing church and what was going on there on Wotje atoll. He first told me about the lack of medicines on the island. Literally there are no meds there. Not even Tylenol to break a fever. This is very serious in a place where a high fever can kill a small baby or child. He then told me that God was healing people who were sick and the Spirit was moving on Wotje. Praise the Lord for men and women of God who live by faith.

Over the next four days we ministered twice a day to a full church. Young people from northern island high school came to every meeting. We saw lives changed and people healed by the power of God. I am honored to be able to serve these people on the outer islands. Shawn and I thank God everyday for the privilege of ministering here. It is so amazing that everywhere the Word of God is preached and people walk in faith, God’s Spirit always moves.

Cathy Bentley's Visit to the Marshalls

Over the last couple of weeks we have had an awesome time in the Word of God. Cathy Bentley has been with us here in the islands teaching on the end times! Needless to say it was eye opening. Cathy has a gift of being able to teach so that any and everyone can understand. Her first week was teaching here on Majuro every night. She even started the night she arrived. The teaching was full of slides and skits demonstrating what she was teaching.

On Monday we went by boat to Arno Arno to do four sessions there. Again peoples eyes were opened by the teaching. One pastor came up by boat just to hear the teaching. It took him two days to get there because of fuel problems but was so greatful just to be there for the last two sessions. He was hungry for the Word and even brought seven others with him. Praise the Lord!
Cathy was on hand for Stephen's wedding and finished up here on the last Sunday with a powerful word for the church. It was a great time and many were touched and changed during her visit. Thanks goes to Cathy's family for allowing her to come and thank you Cathy for the Word that you brought. We look forward to your next visit to the Marshall Islands. Komol tata.

Wedding Day!

Good day from the islands. On Saturday Febuary 12th Stephen married his sweetheart, Terina, of three years. It was a great day and the weather was beautiful. It was a small wedding with just local family and a few friends in attendance. They are both continuing their education at the College of the Marshall Islands. We are very proud to welcome our new daughter in law to the family.

News From the Islands

Wow the last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of activity here! We finished up the 1st quarter of ACA and are already moving into the 2nd. CTC has been working on the book of Daniel. Tomorrow we will finish the 12th chapter and take the test on Tuesday. It is wonderful to watch these disciples learn more about the Word of God. In doing this study we have tied in many other books of the Bible. Some of the books we tied in are Revelation, Ezra, and Nehemiah to name a few of them. I truly believe that Daniel is the key to understanding the book of Revelation.

Majuro has been experiencing major power outages again. This week we will get the two main wind generators back up and online line. It has been so busy that this project has been on hold. By Friday we should have everything back online. The timing is perfect seeing as the winds are starting to pick up again for the windy season. The main generators for Majuro are truly on their last legs and we are watching to see what happens in that area. We have what we need for the baseline but still believing for provision for complete project.

The silver bus is back online now giving us two operational buses. We got it back on Monday. It certainly has relieved some of the driving pressure by having another bus online. The white bus is close we are hoping to have it back in line by the end of the week. We have also found a diesel engine for it and we are looking into the possibility of changing it out. We are certainly thankful for our Marshallese brother and sisters who have helped us out during this time.

This week Pastor Lawrence Edwards went home to be with the Lord. We have known him since we came here to the Marshall Islands. He will be missed but we know that he is home and in perfect peace. It is always a wonderful thing when a saint goes home to be with the Lord. My heart cries out for those who step into eternity without Him.

All of the family is doing well. We praise God everyday for His faithful provision for the ministry here in the islands. We are planning trips to Wotje and to Ebeye in the near future. Island Update!

Good day from the islands. It has been a couple of weeks since our last update. Everyone here is healthy and doing well. Richard, Stephen and Travis are all doing well in school. Shawn and the school are on track and have finished the first quarter of this year. Praise the Lord. They had parent/teacher conferences yesterday and many parents turned out for the meetings!

CTC (Christian Training Center) is back on schedule. We just took the test on the Major Prophets and are now studying the book of Daniel. I have to tell you it is an exciting time to be studying this book. With what is going on in the world right now we can see prophecy fulfilled as we study. In doing this study I am also comparing it to the book of Revelation! This class is exciting because as they begin to understand Daniel, Revelation opens up to them!

We are still working on repairing our wind generators and hope to have at least one back online this week. We praise God for our new bus, it has certainly taken the pressure off of us in that area. The parts came in for our silver bus and we believing to have it back this week. Believing God for favor on the repair bill! We are currently looking for parts to the white bus. It has been down for about two weeks now but praise God it will be back this week.

Bus Update!

Last week we were able to pick up our new bus for the ministry. We are so thankful for those of you who made this possible. As you can see from the picture we have “old faithful” on the left and “blessing” on the right. Our old white bus was repaired last week as well. The dealer let us take the new bus without having paid the full amount. Funds have been pledged and we are waiting on the balance to come in. We are still believing for $1400 to finish paying off the new bus.

We are so thankful for our mechanic who worked on the white bus. Through his efforts we have been able to keep it on the road. We have changed out the engine, replaced the head, water pump and many other things. Here in the Marshalls there are no part stores and we literally salvage parts from other vehicles. We praise God for His continued provision for the ministry here in the islands.

The silver bus is still waiting on a part. It has been off the road for over a month now. We are hoping to have the part this week and have it back on the road. All of these buses are a vital part of our ministry here. They help us take students back and forth to school as well as helping the local churches. We know that soon we will have another new bus and we are continuing to believe God for it. We want to thank all of you for your continued prayers and support. Manit Day!

Last Friday we celebrated Manit day (custom day) here in the Marshall Islands. This is a day that celebrates the rich culture of the Marshallese. It is their way of ensuring that the children remember their history. At ACA, Shawn and the teachers had a day filled with culture. They played games, learned how to make Marshallese crafts and of course it would not be complete without a great lunch.

The Windows Are In!

Here is a picture of ACA now. The windows are in and the building is complete. Praise the Lord! Now we will add solar/wind power to it! That is also part of the funding from the Japanese grant. We give God all of the glory for what He is doing here in the islands. We also added a new teacher to the staff last week. Her name is Hilda! She will be working with the 2nd and 3rd graders. New Bus News!

Praise the Lord God is good. As many of you know we have been believing God for two new buses. Our buses have served and continue to be a major tool in our ministry. The white bus has had an engine and transmission replaced and the silver one has also had it share of problems. As a matter of fact both are down at this time. The white will be back online this afternoon and we are waiting on news on the other bus.
In the middle of this we have gotten the awesome news of funds coming in for a new bus. Praise the Lord! Right now we have 13,000 in the bank, and 7,000 more on the way. Praise the Lord! We only need $1,400 more to complete the purchase of the new bus. The dealer has agreed to let us take the bus this week and pay the balance when it comes in! God is soooo good. With the new bus, we can work on the other buses taking some pressure off of our schedule. We are still believing for a second new bus! Dedication Ceremony!

Good day from the Marshall Islands. Friday we had the opening ceremony for the new classrooms. It was a great day as we celebrated. On hand for the ceremony was the president of the Marshall Islands seen in the hat and the ambassador for the Japanese embassy. Even though we are waiting on the windows to arrive we dedicated the building. It has been a busy week starting the new school year but we give God all of the glory for what He has done.
It certainly is a priveledge to serve the Lord here in the Marshall Islands. Thank you for your prayers and your faithful support. You are truly our partners in the Gospel here in the pacific. God bless you as you continue to follow Him.

Challenges!

As you can see from the picture we have power now at the new classrooms. Praise the Lord! We thank God for His favor and provision for the vision here in the Marshall Islands. The last few weeks have certainly been full of challenges and victory. We finally got mechanics here on the island to work on the silver bus. We also got in the parts to repair the silver bus. The white bus now has a wooden floor and we were able to fix the water pump. We thank God for His favor. Continue to agree with us for two new buses.

We will also have the handover ceremony for the classrooms on Friday! The Japanese ambassador will come and officially make the handover. They have allowed us to begin classes before this ceremony. Again, thank you Lord for moving on the hearts of men. We have ordered the parts to repair our wind generator. It will take us 300.00 to repair it and to bring it back online. There are so many things happening here in the islands.

Steve ministered for three weeks straight for three conference this summer, Youth conference, Women’s conference, and Pastor Conference. We continue to see souls being saved, healed, and delivered by the power of God.

Tomorrow will be a big day as we start the new school year. Shawn is excited and the staff is ready to go. I have watched them decorating the new classrooms and you can feel the excitement in the air. Keep them in prayer as we transport and teach these children this year! In the midst of challenges, joy abounds on every side. The summer has been long with no break for us but thank God for His grace and strength. He is our sustainer! I love serving the Lord!

Update from the Islands

Good morning from the islands,

It is Saturday morning here in the islands. It is that time of year when the trade winds are still and it gets a little warm. Praise God, our water catchements are full. It is so awesome to know that whenever we call on Him, He always comes through. Lot of things getting ready to happen here in the next couple of weeks. Shawn is on track with the school and preparing to start our school year here. This is a year of increase for that area of ministry and we are certainly are seeing God open doors. Travis and Stephen will be registering for the fall semester of college. These guys are growing up to fast. Richard will start high school on the 16th of Augsut. Praise the Lord God is so good. We will start the next class of CTC starting Monday of this week.

This year has been full of challenges but it has been a year of victory so far! Serving Him and living by faith always produces victory. We just finished up two conferences and one leadership seminar. All of them went very well and the Spirit of God was moving. We are making plans to go to Ebeye atoll and Wotje atoll in the fall. All of our outer islands pastors are requesting us to come and minister to them. I love serving the Lord!

Praise Reports:

Well for the last week we have certainly been blessed. Shelly Clark and Brenda Coffer flew in to be with us. They were truly a great blessing to Shawn and all of us. They painted and cleaned. Ministered to children and refreshed us with good times and lost of laughter. We want to thank them for coming and making an impact here in the islands. Great Conferences!

The last three weeks have certainly been busy. The construction has been going on and maintenance on the existing classrooms. Along with this we have been involved with two conferences and a seminar here in Majuro. We have had a youth conference, women's conference and a leader's seminar all back to back. It was an awesome time in the Lord and it was an honor to work with the Marshallese pastors preaching and teaching.
The youth conference's theme was "what is in your hand"? This them was taken from Exodus 4:2 where God asked Moses this question. The teaching and preaching was all centered around using what God has put in your hand. Using the talents and resources that God has graced you with and flowing in the Holy Spirit. Many young people were changed and encouraged during the conference.
The womens conference was based on II Chronicles 7:14 with the teaching covering prayer, the Holy Spirit, forgiveness and marriage and family. In both of these conferences the Spirit was moving and lives were changed each and every service. This year the teaching and preaching was divided among all of the pastors. It was awesome to watch and hear the word from these men of God!
The leader's seminar focused on pastor's this year. It was an honor and a priviledge to teach these men and women of God. God by His Spirit is certainly moving here in the islands. Things are Happening here in the Islands!

Even though summer time is here, things keep on moving here in the islands. Construction, repairs, renovation and conferences are just a few of the things that are happening. As you can tell from the photos we are busy here on the compound. The new classrooms are getting close to completion, with painting going on and plumbing work happening.

In the other photos you can see Shawn and crew, scraping walls and renovating an old classroom into an office. It has been a major job peeling off the old paint but it is looking awesome. We are moving our office there to be closer to the classrooms and to clear space in our radio room. In other photos, you can see pictures of the desks being made for the new classrooms. Our carpenter, Thor, has been busy building these desks. You cannot run out and buy them here, you have to make them. He and Shawn have come up with a very efficient design. It is very sturdy and will last a long time.

Also in the photos you can see a picture of the inside of our white bus. The floor had begun to rust through and we had to repair it. So, using what we have here on the islands we laided down ¾ inch plywood for the new floor. It should be done first of the week and back on the road. The silver bus also needs repairs. Our clutch master cylinder has went out. There are currently no parts here on the island. We had to order a set from a dealer here on the islands and hope to have it repaired soon.

Tomorrow we start the youth conference followed by the women’s conference the following week. We will post updates and photos throughout the conferences. Agree with us for lives to be changed as these believers from all over the islands come together to seek the Lord!

Sarah Pitts Visits US Here in the Islands

Sarah Pitts was a recent visitor here with us in Majuro. Sarah came and spent about 8 days with us spying out the land. She and her husband Drew are praying about coming and joining with us here in the work. Sarah spent the week with Shawn getting the lay of the land. Drew and Sarah are both recent graduates from Rhema Bible Training Center. Please keep them in your prayers as they receive direction from the Lord. Solar and Wind Project Update

Here is the latest update on our solar wind project. Since our last post we have installed two of our three wind generators. They are both already charging our main battery. Praise the Lord! We have one more to install on this round. The lower wind generator is from All Faiths Church in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Thank you Pastor Charlie and the church for that help.

ACA Awards Ceremony and Graduation!

On May 28th we finished the 2009 - 2010 school year with our awards ceremony at Ajeltake Full Gospel Church. The students were all dressed up and the church was filled with parents, family and friends. Awards were given out to every grade covering every subject and a special award to our school rugby team. Amazingly all of our students maintained a B average or higher! Praise the Lord! It was an awesome year. The Lord has blessed us with an awesome staff. As many of you know we are building new classrooms for the coming year. God is so good! Not only did grades 1 through 7 receive awards but we also honored our 8th grade graduates who will move on to high school.

We thank God everyday for the opportunity to speak into young lives here in the Marshall Islands. We do this in freedom because we are a Christian school. All of our teachers are saved and Spirit filled. This gives us the ability to share the love of Jesus and the Gospel with the students everyday. It has been a great year and we look forward to see what God will do next year. We also want to send out a big thank you to mom and dad Clark. They got all of the awards and trophies to us here in the islands. As always thank you all for your faithful prayers and support.

Outer Islands News

Outer island pastors are still building the kingdom of God. There are now even more remote than ever. Supplies coming in by ship have slowed down over the past year. Many are waiting as much as two months between ships. Air travel to the major atolls has been better over the last eight months but is still not 100 percent reliable.
We are planning to get back to the atolls of Wotje, Ebeye and Arno after this month. We are also planning a trip to Utrik atoll in the north. In the midst of all this, Pastor Will on Wotje, is continuing to build the new church building there. As soon as we can get there we will post pictures on the new church. Visitor From India

Last week we had a surprise visit from Benny Prasad. He is from Bangalore, India and he is a gifted musician. He is also a born again Christian. He visited the school, played, and shared his testimony about how Jesus had changed his life. The kids were quiet and did not make a noise. They were so intent on what he was telling them.
This young man had been on the verge of suicide and the Lord radically changed him. He has been serving the Lord ever since. A little over six years ago the Lord told him that he was going to every country in the world to share his testimony. Since then, he has traveled to 229 countries and only has three more countries to go. He has never asked for money, took an offering, or signed a contract. Jesus has paid for it all.
He has played before kings, presidents, and leaders around the world. Schools, assembly halls, everywhere he has went God has opened the door. Praise the Lord! He has walked by faith everywhere he has gone. We were so blessed by this young man. In the pictures you can see his guitar. It is very unique and all handmade. It is a guitar, bongo drums and harp strings all in one. The Lord gave him the design and it makes beautiful music. Thank you, Lord, for sending this young man, around the world with the Gospel.

Construction and Repairs

The last couple of weeks have been a flurry of activity here on the compound. We are in the last week of school now with the awards ceremony on the 28th. Along with taking final tests and practicing for the awards ceremony construction on the new classrooms has continued. We had a delay for a couple of days because of no water but we were able to get some yesterday. Today they are finishing the last couple of rows of block and pouring the columns. It is amazing what is going on with the new building. One reader commented on the wheel barrow and mixer, how everything is done by hand. They asked is there not a cement truck on the islands. Yes there is one. However, to get cement that way is very expensive and not very reliable. So a lot of muscle and sweat goes into building a building here.
Once the classrooms are done we will have to fill them with desks and tables. If you would like to help us in that area, please email us at the address listed below!
We also had to do some repairs to the tower due to an accident by the water truck. The truck backed into the guys wires and shook the entire tower breaking one of the cables. Thor, our worker from Kosrae, jumped to the task and repaired the cable. Praise the Lord for this faithful man of God!
The wind/solar project is moving forward. We hope to have the first two wind generators online in the next couple of days. As you can see we have mounted the control boxes, now to put it all together. Someone inquired as to what we need to be completely off of MEC power. At this point, we have the budget to get four more panels and a solar controller for them. What we have left to really get us off of the grid is:

1 ea 80 amp MPPT solar controller
12 to 16, 6 volt batteries, these are heavy duty solar batteries

The Construction Begins!

Good day from the islands! As you can see from the pictures construction has started on the new classrooms. Praise the Lord! The started last week and yesterday they began to pour cement into the footers. This is an answer to prayer and will help us expand our reach into children's lives here in Majuro. This is all being funded by the Japanese Government. Praise the Lord for favor.

Luk 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

We thank God that He is always faithful to perform His Word. This promise is not just for preachers and missionaries but it is for everyone in the body of Christ. Thank you Jesus! God will always make a way where there is no way as long as we step out in faith.

Please pray for us as we proceed with this project. Already there has been some subtle opposition but we know that nothing can stop the plan of God. Please agree with us that all will go smoothly, on time, built to specifictions and that we have wisdom as we go forth. Once again praise the Lord. Solar and Wind Project

Just an update on what is going on in this area. We have the poles now for the wind generators, the first battery, inverters and of course the generators. We are in the process of ordering four solar panels to get up operational in the solar side as well. There are times of the year when there is very little wind and the solar will balance out the system. We hope to have the wind side up within two weeks and begin to take us off grid. This will of course meet our initial needs.
In the future we will need at least four more solar panels and another bank of batteries. Right now, here on Majuro, the power plant has three generators out of seven operational. It is a matter of time before we begin extended rolling black outs. Losing power here happens frequently and of course affects everything across the board.
Because of the generator problems electricity is now at 32 cents a kilowatt hour. To give you an idea how much your bill would be just multiply your kilowatt hours times 32. This will give you an idea of what your electricity usage would cost here in Majuro. By switching over we will save over $300 a month in electricity cost. That money will then be used to reach the outer islands with the gospel.

Travis and Stephen

Travis and Stephen have not been back to the states in about two years. Travis is now attending college and Stephen is graduating this year from High school. They are both trying to come back to the states to take a break and spend some time with family. They also would like to try and attend a couple of weddings while they are there.
Stephen has been selected as a delegate from the Marshall Islands to attend a conference in North Carolina. He has already been raising some funds for that and is trying to tie in his visit during that trip.

The Grant has been Approved!

A few months ago a parent approached us and suggested that we submit a request to the Japanese embassy for a grant, Shawn and I put together the paperwork and submitted it. After some adjustments and tweaks the paperwork was submitted to Tokyo for approval. Praise the Lord God is so good. Shawn and I just turned it over to the Lord and let Him take care of the rest. Right before I left on my trip we were called with the news. The grant had been approved. Praise God! While I was gone Shawn went in and signed the paperwork.

Yesterday, we were called in and recieved all of the funding for the new building and classrooms. God is so good. He is faithful to perform His Word no matter what! We want to of course thank the Japanese ambassador, embassy and you for faithfully supporting us in prayer. Most of all we give God all of the glory for this and everything else that He is doing in the islands.

Praise the Lord Healing, Rain and Protection

Wow last week a lot of things were happening. Let us bring you up to date. Lei Momie the one we asked you to pray for is doing great. They put stitches in her wounds yesterday and all is well. We hope that she will be home in the next couple of days. Praise the Lord! This has a great witness to her family and friends as God's healing power has worked in her life. We know that this family is changing by the power of God.

Over the weekend we did get some rain, praise the Lord! As you can see the rain fell and filled our catchments up. We still need more rain here in the Marshalls but this weekend was a great help. Keep believing with us for the natural rain as well as the supernatural rain to fall. The northern atolls are the driest and really need the rain. Thank you for agreeing with us.

Our hearts go out to those in Chile. As many of you know there was a massive earthquake that generated a tsunami. Praise the Lord it did not come here or any where else in the Pacific. We give God all of the glory for His protection.

Please keep us in your prayers over the next couple of weeks. I will be in Arkansas from the 11th to the 16th of March for a conference. I really appreciate your prayers as we go there to minister the Word of God. The wind generators are on the way and we are getting ready to finish installing phase one of that project. Please Pray!

On a different note we would like for you to agree with us for some people that need a touch from God. One is Pastor Herman’s wife, Talina, her leg was amputated a few weeks ago and she is not responding well to treatment. Also pray for Pastor Labi Anni’s wife, Kendi, this weekend her sugar went really high. She lost movement in her left arm. She was on IVs through the weekend. She is improving but needs prayer. We are standing and believing with these two families for total healing for both of these women.
Finally, in the picture above you see Shawn with one of our new students. Her name is Lei Momie. Her lower right leg has a very bad infection. She has had this infection for several months and it has not healed. Lei Momie and her brother Peter start our school about two weeks ago. We noticed her leg and we began to take action. We prayed for her and yesterday we took her to the hospital. There she was x-rayed and put on antibiotics. The doctor was concerned that the infection had gotten into the bone. Praise the Lord it had not. As Shawn waited on the result she was praying and interceding for this young lady. Today she is due to go back to the hospital to have the dead tissue taken away. Please agree with us today for total healing for this young lady.
We praise God for His healing power and know that He still heals today. Thank you as always for your faithful prayers and support.

Haiti Relief!

We just wanted to take a moment to ask you to pray for Haiti today. Many of you have seen the video and heard the stories of what is happening there. In the natural it is a tragedy but in the midst of all this, God is moving. Missionaries who are there have not given up and are continuing to see lives changed by the power of God. In the midst of what looks like tragedy new life is emerging in the changed lives of the people.
As you pray about giving we ask you to be wise and choose the right organization to give to. Of course if your church is supporting an effort there, go through them first. That way you ensure where your money is going. It is sad to say but in the midst of this there are those who are doing the wrong thing. I also want point you to two ministries that are doing a great work there. One is Pastor Jay Threadgill in Port au Prince, www.fom.com (it that doesn’t work try .org). Pastor Jay has been down there for many years and God has used him and his family mightily there. Another brother is Ed Locket, I am not sure of his exact location but he is with Missionary Ventures International (www.mvi.org). You can help him out by going through their web site. We here in the Marshall Islands believe that God, in the midst of this will do a mighty work there. We stand with the body of Christ in Haiti and know God is with them. Bus Update and CB Radios

It has been a little while since the last update and a lot has been happening. The buses are now back up and running. Praise the Lord! Our two chariots are back on the road. The silver bus is doing wonderful and the white bus just keeps on going. Both of these buses are a vital part of our mission here. The white bus has a different engine and transmission now. We were able to salvage on from another wrecked bus. It is still leaking water and we are changing out the distributor but the bottom line is she is back in action. It certainly was a struggle over the last couple of months keeping everything running without them. Praise the Lord for churches that stepped up and helped us through this period. We praise God for the body of Christ working together to keep things moving. We are still believing God to cover the cost but that is no problem for Him.
We also received CB radios in from Winter Haven Worship Center in Florida (http://www.whwc.org/). Yes Brother Jason they just arrived. Immediately upon receiving them we sent three of them out to the outer islands. The base station was sent to Pastor Will on Wotje who already has it on the air preaching the Word. Two of the other radios went to Langnaar (Pastor Norton) and one to Arno, Arno (Pastor Waston). These radios provide a way for them to preach the Gospel and to stay in contact with their people. Praise the Lord for these tools that you have sent. As you can tell we can use any kind of CB, new or used it does not matter. What you are not using can really be a valuable tool for pastors here in the islands.
Two more wind generators are on the way and we are getting ready to start using wind and solar. We want to thank all of you who have helped to make this project happen. Missionary Ventures New Zealand also provided funds and All Faiths Church in Lehigh Acres, Florida provided a wind generator to help us with this project. As you can see we are getting ready to put the roof on the building. Once this is complete we will bring in the fork lift battery and the inverter charger. We can then go ahead and install them while we wait on the arrival of the additional wind generators.
We have had to scale back initially on our project due to repairs on our buses. As funds come in we will add more solar panels and Wind generators. We know that you there see increases in things that you use. Our electricity just went up to 35 cents a kilowatt hour and the price of propane has jumped thirty percent. With these cost increases we have to divert funds from some of our outside project. Converting to alternate energy will put five hundred dollars back into our operations. Engine Swaps and Building Blocks

Well what can we say? Jesus is Lord and we can do all that things through Christ who strengthens us! Praise the Lord! The white bus is almost ready for full time duty. We were able to find a used engine and swapped it out this week. We also replaced the transmission and other items. It has been a battle. We put it back on the road Thursday but it went down again. Water leak and the alternator belt broke. All is well though. We went back through and inspected everything and found that the transmission bracket was missing a bolt. Praise the Lord, even though we had some down time we found that item before it became a major problem. We hope to get it back this afternoon and have it back on the road in the morning.
Two hundred block arrived this week and we were able to start building on the battery room. We are still one hundred block short but we are believing God for the rest of the block to complete the project. This room will house our batteries and inverters as we go on alternate power. Our power cost has risen another five cents this month taking the cost now to thirty five cents a kilowatt hour. This week we will order the wind turbines and have them shipped in here to Majuro. We are starting off with wind because it charges day and night and this is the windy time of the year. Over time we will add solar panels to round out our energy needs. This will save money that we can pour back into the ministry and reaching the lost.
Also this week we received another computer for our ministry. Praise the Lord! We are also in need of Bible software. One of the losses on my computer was my bible study material.
Because of the repairs to the buses and computer issues this has tapped into our operational funds. We are believing God for $6,000 to cover the cost of repairs to the buses along with rental fees during this down time. Please agree with us in prayer for these needs. Computer Help!

We are so thankful for all of you that support us in so many ways. Care packages that contain food items, Worship/preaching CDs, financially, and so many other ways. This week was no exception with six care packages coming in and a new computer. As many of you know, we have had problems with three of our computers. We lost most of our email addresses and other documents, some right before my trip to the states.
In the states, people stepped up to help us out. One family donated an external hard drive, flash drives and other equipment to help us backup information. Another family began work on our other desktop trying to repair it and bring it up to speed. Instead of repairing it they sent a new desktop! Praise the lord! From Virginia, another family helped us out with a laptop and a study bible/resource that operates from CD/flash drive. On top of all this another family has sent another computer that is on the way. We praise God for this help and for people that hear and follow the leading of the Holy Ghost.
These things mean so much to us here in the islands. The care packages alone save us hundreds of dollars in food costs. This allows us to fund other outreaches and operations here in the islands. Trip to Wotje Atoll

On the 28th of December we made a trip to Wotje atoll. Pastor Ronald, Ryan, and I went there and spent four days teaching the young people there. The timing of the trip was perfect because all of the high school students were on Christmas break. We had been invited when we were there in September with Cathy Bentley. The students had come to Pastor Ronald and I inviting us to come back and teach them.
It is so awesome to see young people that are hungry for the Word. We arrived on the 28th of December, and we were greeted by the young people and the church. The church had grown since our last visit. Pastor Will and Carmen are doing a great job preaching the Gospel there. After settling in, we began teaching that night with two sessions. Pastor Ronald and I taught four sessions a day the entire time we were there.
He taught on the Holy Spirit and Faith. I taught on prayer and the church! What a great time. Their hunger is motivated by a desire to live a holy and righteous life. Something I think that we forget many times is the simple truths that help us live for Jesus. We are many times searching for the newest revelation, the newest formula for a blessing when in reality, we need the basics.
Needless to say it was a blessing to be there and see lives changed by the Word and by His Spirit. They wanted us to stay longer but the airplane came early because of New Years. No worries though we will be back. On the trip there and back, we stopped at Likiep atoll where two of our disciples have started a church.
Before Christmas, Harold and Tommy traveled to Likiep atoll. The people had heard about the Full Gospel churches and CTC, and asked for someone to come and start a church. Pastor Ronald responded and sent Harold and Tommy to spy out the land. Since their arrival, they are seeing between forty and fifty at every service. This is not counting children! They have not even started the church in that area yet. They are just sharing the Gospel while they are there. People are coming and seeking God! Please pray for these young men as they minister there.
Both of them are disciples in CTC. They have not completed their studies with me as of yet, but when the Spirit leads we move! People are dying and going to hell, when they call for help we must answer the call. I thank God everyday for these young men and women who forsake their fleshly desires to follow the Spirit of God! Needless to say, I have been invited to Likiep for a week of teaching.
This year we are planning more trips to the outer islands. Two trips that we had scheduled had to be postponed. One due to no airplanes flying there and the other one delayed due to maintenance issues with our buses. The people are calling and we will find a way to reach them this year. Projects and Current Needs

This year certainly has seen many things happen here in the Marshall Islands. Challenges have abounded, and in every case God has always provided exactly what we need. He has never been late but always right on time. We now have the funding for our solar/wind project, and the equipment is on the way. Our hold up in that area right now is block for the battery room. As you can see above, the floor is poured and ready to go. We just need the block for the walls. What is the hold up, you might ask? Sand is the hold up! Bricks require a great deal of sand. Currently sand cannot be dredged here, and it has to be made or brought in by ship. We have 200 blocks on order now, and we are hoping to have it this week. The funding we have raised for this will cover our basic setup but we will need to add more solar panels in the future. If you would be interested in being a part of this project just drop us an email.

We have had challenges in the last month with our buses. Our diesel bus went down with a blown head gasket and a cracked crankshaft. We have ordered the parts to repair it and are believing God for the funds. The white bus you see pictured above is on it’s last miles. It is almost beyond what we can do but it continues to run. We recently replaced the water pump and will replace the head gasket on the white bus this week also. We are believing God for a new bus. The cost for that is $18,500 for a brand new bus.

Our computers had their share of problems. Three of our computers went down with bad hard drives all within a month. We thank God we have two of them back up and running. The only downside is that we lost a lot of information and email addresses. Praise the Lord for some individuals who have helped us get them back up and running. We thank God for all of you that help us in so many ways. You are truly a part of what we are doing here in the islands.

While we were in the states a ministry bought two guitar amplifiers for Ebeye Full Gospel. We thank God for that. We still have a need for a lead guitar, bass electric guitars, and amplifiers to go with them. In the midst of all of these challenges we give God all of the glory for we know that He will meet every need.

We also thank God for those of you who hear the Holy Ghost and help us in so many areas. You, our partners in the Gospel truly are helping us build the kingdom of God.

Christmas Day 2009

Well, Christmas 2009 was awesome as usual. We certainly love this time with the Marshallese. They actually start celebrating on December 1 because nationally they recognize when the Gospel first came to the Marshall Islands. Here, that day is a national holiday. Praise the Lord! Then the rest of the month is filled with practices and getting ready for Christmas day. Many groups in each church practice songs, dances, and small dramas that lift up Jesus for the Christmas celebration.

Of course, many in the rest of the world see this day as just a holiday. For the Marshallese it is so much more than that. It is not about presents, or shopping, but it is about the greatest gift ever given, Jesus! We started the celebration at 10:00 am Christmas morning. We preached the Word, and prayed for the sick. After service, we all share a great meal together. Then the programs began with the children going first. All through the day and through the night different groups came and presented their program.

From the very simple to the very elaborate, each program was unique. All of these programs were done for one reason, to celebrate the birth of Jesus! From 10:00 am in the morning on Christmas day until 7:00 am on Saturday the Marshallese celebrated Jesus and His gift to the world. Shawn and I hope that you had an awesome Christmas. Jesus is the greatest gift ever given and is the reason for the season. We love you and thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support.

ACA Christmas Party

The final day before the Christmas break we had our annual Christmas celebration at the school. Last year was a Christmas cantata and family dinner. This year was a field day full of exciting games and competitions. Shawn is always mixing it up, and does a great job of always having Jesus the number reason for doing something. The children enjoyed making Christmas crafts, had snowball fights (using soft plastic balls), a reindeer relay, a water balloon toss and many other games. It was exciting to watch the kids have a great time, and seeing the smiles on their faces. We had prizes and candy for every event so every child was a winner in some way throughout the day.

Shawn even organized a gift exchange so that each child got a gift. It was so wonderful to see all of the kids as they received their gifts. Throughout it all Jesus was the main focus of everything. Jesus is always the reason for the season! As the children left for the day, Shawn and the staff ensured that each child remembered that. Praise God at the school we use every opportunity to share Jesus with the children. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and support. We would also like to thank Momma Clark for making sure all of our crafts, prizes and supplies for our games made it in time for our party day. Thanks to friends who sent baking supplies. Many people enjoyed the treats we made with the supplies you sent. Every day, you are a part of blessing the people in the Marshall Islands.

ACA Rugby Team

On December 12^th our school rugby team participated in their first tournament here in Majuro. We had been given about three weeks notice about the tournament. Why do I bring this up? Because that is when the boys decided they wanted to play rugby against the other schools. All of the other schools had been practicing for several months. We stepped into this tournament with about two good weeks of practice.

Needless to say, after five games in the pouring down rain, we came in second place out of all of the schools that participated. Praise the Lord! We are so proud of our team and Pastor Apet their coach. They started the game with prayer and ended everything with prayer. Once again, being a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. We continually thank God for the opportunity to teach and mold young lives for him!

The Kingdom is Moving Forward!

In the pictures above you see several of the Pastors that we work with in the Marshall Islands. As many of you know I am in the states until the 10th of November. Upon our return we have several trips planned through the first of the year.

The last week of November we will be on the atoll of Ebeye with Pastor Anwi Morris and his church there. The first week of December Pastor Ronald Matthew and I will travel to the atoll of Utrik to the north. We plan to be there for about a week. This atoll is about 350 miles to the north of Majuro. Pastor Tirok Joe and his family are there. This isolated place is the home of a growing church there. Pastor Tirok is doing an awesome job.

We will then return to Majuro and celebrate Christmas with the churches there. After Christmas Pastor Ronald and I will travel to Wotje atoll. We will be there with Pastor Will Lokior teaching the youth for a week. We are seeing the Holy Ghost continue to move in the Marshall Islands and around the world. No matter what is going on in the world the kingdom is still moving forward!
We are also planning a trip to Vanuatu in May 2010 to participate in two pastor’s conferences there along with Phil Plowman (Missionary Ventures Australia) and Rand Montgomery (Regional Coordinator/Missionary Thailand). Family Update!

As many of you know I have been in the states for the last couple of weeks. My time here is coming to a close very quickly. It certainly has been an awesome trip so far and it was great to connect with so many of you. Twelve days from now I will be back on my way to the islands. While I have been gone the mission has continued to move forward. Shawn has kept everything on track and is doing an awesome job of managing everything there. The School is doing well and she has been working a grant from the Japanese government to build new classrooms for the school. Needless to say she has been busy.

Travis is now working and going to college at the College of the Marshall Islands. He is doing great. Stephen is now in his senior year of High School and is excelling in his grades. He is not working at this time but is concentrating on his studies. Richard is also doing well in school and is looking forward to going to high school next year. All of them as always have been a great help to Shawn while I am gone. Please continue to lift them up in your prayers while I am here in the states! Thank you for your faithful prayers and support!

Farewell to Cathy and Catie Bentley

On Monday of this week we said farewell to Cathy and Catie Bentley. They had been with us for one month ministering to the Marshallese. They ministered to churches on Majuro, two different atolls and to the disciples of CTC (Christian Training Center). These two are a great team and the Marshallese were blessed during their time here. What is really great to watch is them work together with the pastors here in the Marshalls. They were not doing their own thing but ministered side by side with the Marshallese. It is always refreshing to see the people of God working together. That is the church! The body working together to build the kingdom not a working as individuals but as the body of Christ!
They, by this time are both back in the states. Cathy on Monday the 28th will be on her way with a team to Guyana. Please keep her lifted up in your prayers as she ministers to the people there. We thank God for these women who take the time to follow the Holy Ghost and obey the call of God! To their families we send a big komol tata (thank you). To all of you, our faithful supporters we thank you for partnering with us here in the Marshall Islands. It is with your help that we continue to build the Kingdom here in the islands. Outer Islands Trip Report!

On August 28th Cathy and Catie Bentley arrived here in Majuro. Since they arrived they have continually ministered to the people here in the islands. On 4 September we left Majuro for the outer islands. First stop was Ebeye atoll. They had both been there before so many people there were excited to see them again. We arrived Friday morning and Friday night ministry began. Friday, Saturday, Sunday were filled with the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. We saw people saved, healed and delivered by the power of God.
Cathy’s well balanced teaching and illustrated messages really shed light on the Word of God. Her use of slides and pictures really helped the people to understand what is going on prophecy. It is always great to see and to hear this woman of God minister. It was a great blessing to the people of Ebeye.
On Monday morning we were back on the plane headed to Wotje atoll. Catie had been there with us on her last trip in February. Cathy though, had been waiting eight years to visit this small atoll! The arrival was wonderful! The people greeted us with song and food! From the first day Cathy and Catie began to minister. Nonstop for four days they were continually teaching and sharing the Word. Even during non teaching times Cathy continued to teach the people. It was awesome.

Again on Wotje as Cathy and Catie both taught and preached the Word. People were changed by the Spirit of God. In their short time on this small atoll a huge impact was made by this dynamic team! It was wonderful as always to work with ministers of the Gospel who know how to be led by the Holy Ghost.
On a side note, Ebeye had not had rain for three months and Wotje for over six months. In both locations while we were there the rain fell and blessed the people with water! The rain not only fell in the supernatural but also fell in the natural.

Happy Anniversary!!!

This post is a day late but yesterday Shawn and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. Twenty years ago we became one flesh. Over time we have seen the ups and the downs. I watched God work in her life to change her into something so wonderful. I do not have the words to express my love for her. Everyone always remembers Proverbs 31 but I also remember Proverbs 18:22:
“Whoso finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord”!
Certainly I have found the good thing and she truly has brought favor into the house. She brings balance to me, the family and to the ministry. A tireless partner, who puts everything into what she does. I am never ceased to be amazed at what she gets done. Last week as I was preparing to go to the outer islands I looked at everything that was going on here on Majuro. I was thinking about delaying for a few days.
Shawn then came told me to go, she said “I have peace and everything will be okay”. I left with two computers down, one bus not running, a school to run and not to mention running the household in her hands. On top of that the house was in construction mode with three to four workers in the house. With all this going on I left with peace in my heart and returned in peace.
Shawn did not even miss a beat. Bus repaired, computers repaired, school on track, and construction completed. She was tired but had kept everything running smoothly. I am so blessed to have her as my wife. Thank you Lord for blessing me with her. I know this is a different kind of post but I am very proud and honored to have her in my life. Happy Anniversary Shawn I love you so!

Time for a New Bus

Here is a few pictures of an essential tool that we use here in the ministry. It is our bus. This bus has been used to transport CTC, visiting ministers, vacation bible school kids, and many other ministry events. It has certainly been an amazing blessing. This bus was purchased in 2003 when Dr Lew and Mariesa Davis was here. For six years she has been on the road supporting the ministry.

Now rust is beginning to take her toll. She has had body repairs and engine repairs have become the norm. A couple days ago Shawn was taking students home. She heard a loud noise and then the oil light came on. She put oil in it and got the bus back to the compound. When I came home I opened up the engine compartment to find three head bolts stripped and one missing. Now we have found out that the threads on the block will have to be rethreaded. As I write this we are searching for new bolts and a tap/die set to make the repairs.

The bottom line is, it is time for a new bus. Please agree with us in prayer for a new bus. If the Holy Spirit speaks to you about helping in this area, please email us at rikakisteve@gmail.com

Cathy and Catie Bentley are Back!

Cathy and Catie Bentley have returned to the Marshall Islands. Cathy and Catie are ministering here with us for the next three weeks. Running a tight schedule, these two women of God are shedding light on current events in the light of prophecy. It is going great. God has certainly blessed us here in the Marshalls with some great teaching.

On Friday we will head out to the outer islands. We will spend 4 days on Ebeye and then travel to Wotje atoll ministering the Word of God. Please keep us in your prayers as we minister to the people! Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support!

Thank You for Your Support!

We want to take time to thank all of you for your faithful support of our ministry. In the pictures above are pictures of our cook Madelena. She is making cookies for the school lunches. The upper right picture is a picture of a camp oven that was donated to our ministry. That oven not only takes care of the family but the children of the school benefit from it everyday.

Many of you send boxes of food, praise the Lord! Here grocery prices are out of sight and this week we got three boxes full of staple items that saves us money. It is a great blessing! Do we need money for operations, yes of course but these packages also take care of a great need. When we needed tools, you responded. Over the counter medicines were needed, you again responded. Every time these things have come in right on time to meet our needs here in the islands. Thank you so very much for all the ways that you support our ministry here in the islands. We know that God will continue to bless you with seed to sow and bread on your table, (II Corinthians 9).

We also want to thank Mom and Dad Clark who many times forward these items to us. They are a major asset in getting much needed supplies to us. Thanks again for all of your faithful, faithful prayers and support.

Termite Campaign

What a week it has been. Here are a few pictures of our house this week. As many of you know we have fought termites almost every week. Termites here are a major problem. Here in the Marshall Islands termites are an issue for everyone that uses wood in building. For some time we have been replacing walls and just when we thought we got ahead they returned. Now thanks to supporters who joined with us we are now replacing walls with concrete board and drywall. Praise the Lord!

We are taking away what they eat. In the pictures you see the work proceeding in the bathroom and the kitchen. We are started with these areas because they were the worst infested! We will proceed with the rest of the house as funds become available. We praise God for all of you who have helped us so far with this. It is nice to go to sleep at night without having to worry about a termite attack. We will post pictures when phase one is completed! Be blessed and have an awesome week in the name of Jesus!

Ajeltake Christian Academy Moving up!

Here are some shots from the school this morning. On Monday we start the 2009-2010 school year. We are so excited about another year to teach children in the natural and about the things of God. Two weeks prior to starting we received some great news from the ministry of education. Every year all of the school in the Marshall Islands are tested for academic excellence. Last year we were number two in all of the Marshall Islands. Praise the Lord! Actually we were tied for number one but because the other school was larger and tested more students they were given number one. It is okay though. That test compares us to all public an private schools here. Remember we took over this school two and one half years ago. At that time they were unrated now we are moving up. Shawn and I thank God for our Spirit filled staff who give their all as unto the Lord! We thank God for their faithfulness and dedication.

We have been through many things in the last couple of years with the school. Termites, finances, bus breakdowns and other things that come with running a school. In all of that we saw the hand of the Lord on what we were doing. Young lives being changed into something totally different. Now we are beginning to see fruit in many ways. Because of our new testing scores this qualifies us for assistance from the government. Praise the Lord! God is so good. We give all of the glory to God for all that He has done and continues to do with the school.

There is one other person who certainly has been faithful and that is principal Shawn. Many of you know Shawn's testimony and what the Lord has done in her life. Her love for teaching has moved into something special. I remember her teaching in Kid Zone at Winter Haven Worship Center and watching her love for teaching grow. When we came to the Marshalls we were not even thinking about a school but look what the Lord has done. He is so faithful and gives us the desires of our heart. Shawn loves to teach and now she is a teacher/principal. Praise the Lord! God is soooooo good. We give Him all of the glory and all of the praise for what He is doing here in the Marshalls. Full Gospel Conferences 2009

The last two weeks have been awesome. We have been in two conferences with the Full Gospel Churches. One of them took place in Honolulu, Hawaii with the mainland churches and the other here in Majuro, Marshall Islands. In each of the conferences the Spirit of God moved. People were filled with the Spirit, healed, set free and refreshed by the power of God. Praise the Lord. It certainly has been an honor to speak during these conferences. They have their general conference every two years. It is a time of refreshing the vision for what God is doing among the Marshallese here in the islands and on the main land.

The theme in Honolulu was "Start the fire and hold up the fire"! It was based on Matthew 5:16 where Jesus told His disciples to let your light shine before all men. The emphasis was on letting all men see Jesus and come to Him. Praise the Lord! Here in Majuro it was based on Ephesians 5:16 "redeem the time for the days are evil"! Both of these conferences were motivating the church to wake up and reach the lost. I so agree with what the Spirit is saying not only to the Marshallese church but to the whole church! It is time to redeem the time and let our light shine! Jesus is coming sooner than we think.

Many Christians are sleeping in the light while many sinners are dying in the dark. It is time to light the fire so that all men may come to Jesus. It was just an awesome time. We certainly give all the glory to God for Word and the flowing of the Holy Ghost. It is not about a man but it is all about Jesus. This week we will be teaching the pastors and sharing with them before they go back to their churches. Please continue to keep us in prayer as we minister to these men an women of God. New Church Coming for Wotje

Here is a picture of Pastor Will Lokior, Carmen and their daughter at the conference this year. While they were here we were able to present them with a check for $5,000.00 to help build a new church on Wotje! Praise the Lord! One of our faithful supporters saw the need for the church there and blessed the people. Thank God for people who obey the Holy Ghost. Pastor Will's church is currently part of his house! We have traveled there many times and believe me it is packed with young people.
He has been believing God for the funds to build a church on land that he has there on Wotje. Now the vision is coming to pass. With the money he has raised and this blessing he will be able to build a new church there on Wotje! We thank God for this faithful man of God and his family. Please keep Pastor Will and his family in your prayers... Be blessed and have an awesome day in Jesus' mighty name!

Lord send the rain!

Over the last few days we have received rain here in the islands. Praise the Lord. In the pictures above you see how we get our water. It rains and the water is funneled down from the roof into these catchments. No rain, no water. you see there are no fresh water wells here where we live. Water is caught in drums, catchments and anything that will hold it. So when think about the islands remember to continue to agree with us for rain. It is not about grass and flowers it is about drinking water to survive.. Be blessed and thank you for your prayers and support....

Let the destruction begin...

Upon Shawn and Richard's return from the states they were greeted by several swarms of termites. In the pictures above you see Thor starting to demolish the walls to rid ourselves of the pests. We are in the process of removing plywood and replacing everything with drywall. Fortunately the hardware store here carries drywall. Praise the Lord! It is even cheaper than plywood. So for much cheaper than replacing the walls with plywood we are redoing everything with dry wall... There is always something changing here on the compound. Little bit by little bit we are making progress... Be blessed and thank you for your prayers and support.

ACA Award Ceremony

On May 29th we had our award ceremony for Ajetltake Christian Academy. Shawn and the teachers presented awards to all of our students and two of our students graduated from the eighth grade. At this time we are only teaching Kindergarten through the 8th grade. After completing they then move on to the local high schools to finish their education. This year we had two young ladies that completed and will be moving on to high school.

This year was certainly filled with challenges but it was also one of the smoothest. We are blessed to have teachers who are men and women of God. In the school we not only teach secular education but also the things of God. We praise God daily that we have the ability to do what many schools cannot do, present Jesus on a daily basis. Thank you for all of your continued prayers and support.

Praise the Lord He is Faithful!

Today we are celebrating here in the islands. All of the equipment, house, buildings, and buses here on the compound are paid for! Praise the Lord! We had forty eight months to do it, and it has been completed in thirty. We thank God for those who have stayed faithful in helping us accomplish this! Even in the middle of a major building program, Pastor Jeff and Winter Haven Worship Center (our home church) stayed with us to the end. We would also like to thank Pastor Reggie Scarborough of Family Worship Center, Lakeland, Fl; Pastor Eddie Trayers of Family Worship Center in Virginia; Pastor Steve McCart of Family Worship Center in Florence, SC; Pastor Charlie Hoskins of All Faiths Church in Lehigh Acres, Fl; Pastor Blake Lorenz of Pine Castle United Methodist Church in Orlando, Fl.; Don and Maria Elena Steiner of Wings of Eagles Ministry in Lakeland, FL., and all the individual supporters who have had a part in our ministry here in the Marshall Islands. Thank you also to MVI for help on the seawall; MVINZ for help with the radio station and boat project. We praise God for all of their prayers and continued support in all areas of our ministry here.
Our ministry here is certainly a team effort. You all have a major part in this ministry. It is not the size of the gift that matters. Every gift given has helped us push forward here in the islands. We cannot name each individual supporter but your faithfulness every month has given us the ability to reach many in the name of Jesus. Individuals and families that have been a major part of our projects here we thank you. Words cannot express our thanks. Since we came to the Marshall Islands we have seen supporters come and go. We know that God will replace those who have went another direction. We thank God everyday for those of you who have not wavered in your steadfast support! You are our partners in the Gospel! The Arno Story

In the top center picture of CTC is Pastor Waston and his wife Jammey. They are currently Pastoring the church on Arno, Arno.

We told you in our last post about our trip to Langnaar. Today we would like to tell you what is going on in Arno. Pastor Deek and his wife a few months ago went to Hawaii for medical treatment. The church called on Pastor Waston and his wife to come in and take over until Pastor Deeks return. I remember when these two first started CTC. Waston was new to the Lord but had a desire to serve. He knew that God had called him to pastor. He and his wife started CTC when Lew and Mariesa Davis were still here in Majuro. We came along side Watson and Jammey and watched the Lord radically change their lives.

Since they have been there on Arno we have seen God use them to change an atoll. When they first got there the church had about fifteen members and no children's ministry. Now there are over fifty in the church. Jammey saw the need for a children's ministry. Jammey was trained by Shawn in children's ministry here on Majuro. After the training she has been continually active in children's ministry. Now every Sunday she ministers to twenty five to thirty children on Arno. Praise the Lord! Waston and Jammey are moving forward in the name of Jesus. God is using this couple for His glory. We have had reports since our trip there that the numbers have continued to increase. People getting saved, healed and set free. During CTC's time there we went door to door and helped support this couple in their work. Please pray for Watson and Jammey as God uses them on Arno for His glory. They are doing a great work. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. You are truly our partners in the Gospel here in the islands. Your support helps pastors on Majuro and the outer islands reach people for Jesus. Thank you!

The Langnaar Story

During our trip to the outer islands, one of the places we went was to Langnaar. We went to Arno on Tuesday with the plan to go to Langnaar on Friday morning. The bulk of our team would stay on Arno ministering there while we took a small team into Langnaar. We needed to bring in some much needed supplies to the pastor and the church there. On Friday morning, we prepared to go, and about noon the boat was loaded with supplies, heading for Langnaar. The weather was good, and the seas were choppy. The mission was a go. We traveled along the edge of Arno to dynamite pass where we entered the first lagoon. To get to Langnaar we have to travel through three large lagoons. Langnaar is located in the third lagoon (Arno atoll has three lagoons).
As we traveled along, the trip was going smoothly, and the boat was performing well. As we came close to going back into the ocean from lagoon number two to get to Langnaar, the captain suggested we take a shortcut. He was confident that we could save time, and the tide was right. As we approached the shortcut, we noticed the water was low but coming up. After an hour or so, we decided to go for it. We unfortunately did not consider the weight of the boat. Soon, we were in low water scrapping against the bottom. We could not turn around. We were committed to the path we had chosen.
We knew that if we went back, we could not get into Langnaar before dark. We decided to push forward, literally. So we got out of the boat and began to push it along the reef. For five hours we worked the boat across the reef. Our feet cut up and enduring the coral from the reef, to get to a pass into Langnaar. The sun began to set, and darkness was coming fast. A storm was brewing. The waves were beginning to smash into the boat, but as a team, we kept moving forward. Just at the edge of dark, we spotted the entrance into Langnaar. Praise the Lord! We were tired, a little battered, but morale was good. Trust me, many times during this effort the thought crossed my mind to go back. Even when we reached the entrance, my flesh said, “Deliver the supplies and go back in the morning.” My spirit on the on other hand said, “ Press on!”
When we arrived at Langnaar, it was dark. We could see the lights of the church from a distance. It was a refreshing sight! As we got closer to the shore, we heard the sound of singing. As we unloaded the supplies in the dark, the singing grew louder. They were praising God with all their heart. The sound of their praises was music to our ears.
We then made our way to the church where we were greeted by the church. They were singing and rejoicing , and had prepared food for us. They had been waiting there all day for us to arrive. It was a humbling experience to see because we knew of their need. After the singing and welcome, I sat down with Pastor Norton and we began to talk. With tears in his eyes, he began to tell me that he had begun to think that no one remembered him. That he and his family were alone on this far atoll. There had been no supplies come in for over six weeks. He and his family had been eating bread fruit and coconut only for over a month. There were no staples or rice to be had anywhere on this little atoll in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. For one month they had lived on that and what fish they could catch. My heart was touched even more by the offering of food the people prepared for us.
He told me that he was tempted to quit. In that dark time, when he felt alone, he knew what to do. He decided to stand in faith and believe God. He and his wife got on their knees and prayed. God heard their prayer. Two days later, he got the message by radio that CTC and I were coming to minister and bring supplies. He said he began to rejoice and praise God. My heart was overwhelmed hearing this! All of the hours of pushing a boat, meant nothing now. I was stirred, and truly humbled, sitting with a servant of God who was living by faith every day.
The next day we preached, ministered to the children and youth, and baptized people. That evening, we had a great service. After the service, the wind began to rise and rain began to fall. The winds were now 25 to 35 miles per hour and getting stronger. We were in a major storm. Our boat was tied up well, but we kept checking on it. The storm continued to get worse, and about nine o’clock PM it broke free from the lines. We all ran out into the driving rain to save the boat. We caught it, and for the next three hours we battled the storm to secure the boat. We were pushing and holding on to the boat, battling the waves and storm until we could secure it safely back to the buoy. Once it was secure the five of us made our way back to the church. I began thinking to myself, I am tired, cold, and wet how can I preach tomorrow?
I then began to think about the pastor and his church. We were on a mission, and we were going to complete what God had sent us to do. The next morning, we got up and preached a Holy Ghost message. God moved, people were touched, and healed by the power of God. Pastor Norton and his wife were encouraged and strengthened by the Spirit! Praise the Lord! In the middle of nowhere, in a church made of palm fronds, the Spirit of God is moving! It is faith that moves the hand of God, not what you have.
Our trip back that afternoon was smooth with no problems. On the way back, I determined in my heart never to let them go without supplies again. Shawn and I have decided that once a month we will go to Langnaar. We are believing for the provisions by faith, but we are determined to support our outer island pastors. Please keep Pastor Norton, his wife Emeko, son Carlton and daughter Marrisa in your prayers.
One more thought, there are men and women of God around the world who think that they have been forgotten. They are living faith, believing God everyday for food and provision. God is providing for them in so many ways. Sometimes, they just need to hear that someone cares and is praying for them. Some of you now, are thinking that I am getting ready to ask for support. No I am not! What I am asking you to do is to go to your pastor, the church staff, and those in ministry. Take time to tell them that you are with them and are praying for them. Sometimes, the one who needs to hear from you the most is the one in your pulpit. Be blessed today and thank you for all of your faithful prayers and support.

Mission Trip to Arno and Langnaar!

Wow what a great eight days. Our trip to Arno Arno and Langnaar was a great success. The Word was preached and signs and wonders followed. We saw everything on this trip. Salvations, healings and people being set free by the power of God. We did weddings, baptisms and baby dedications. The disciples shared the Gospel and we delivered much need supplies to the outer island pastors. It was great trip and it is only the beginning of what will be done.

The disciples stepped in even at the planning stage. They raised funds for the supplies to be brought on the trip. Supplies not only to sustain them but much needed food supplies for the people of Langnaar and Arno. It was awesome to see them in action. As soon as we arrived they started ministering. For a full eight days these men and women of God shared the Gospel. They not only helped change the lives of others they were all changed by this first mission trip. We give God all of the praise and glory for what He is doing in the name of Jesus.

We certainly want to thank all of you for your prayers and faithful support. You, our partners in the Gospel are helping to change a nation. We want to also thank again Pastor Eddie Trayers and Family Worship Center, Virginia for providing the charter to Arno Arno. Once again thank you for partnering with us here in the Marshall Islands.

Rescuing Churches in the Outer Islands!

In the picture on the bottom left is Pastor Deek from Arno, Arno. On the right is a picture of Jammey and Waston James assistant pastors on Arno, Arno. Waston and his wife were disciples in CTC. They are currently pastoring on Arno, Arno while Pastor Deek is off island getting medical care for his wife. I know that the title of this post is a little unusual but it points to what is happening on the outer islands. In the pictures in the middle you see an empty church. This building has not been used for years because there has been no pastor there. The people of Arno, Arno recently gave this building to Pastor Deek to use for a church. We are seeing the Arno church begin to grow as the Spirit of God is moving there. It is sad to say but there are many church buildings in the outer islands but very few pastors.

What is happening? Pastors are leaving or quitting the ministry. They become discouraged and come back to Majuro. You see outer island life is not easy for a pastor. The Full Gospels are working to fill in the gaps and hold the line. We are receiving calls and messages from the outer islands to come and bring a pastor. CTC is moving forward to fill that need. Our goal is also to get to the outer islands and support the local pastors there. For many years there has not been a move of the Spirit. We are preparing and positioning men and women of God who have the call of God on their lives to take the move of the Spirit back to the outer islands. As I posted before Likiep has lost their pastor and have called us for help. We have a couple ready to go and fill the gap. Now it is a matter of putting the funds together and a team to go. Since that post two more atolls have contacted us asking us to come! What will we do? We will go in the power of the Spirit and rescue those who need help.

Many of these churches have stopped being supported by their denominational churches. We thank God everyday that the Full Gospel Churches support their pastors! They are also planting new churches on the outer islands. In our last post we requested help for our outreach to Arno Arno and Langnaar. Within in a few hours the need was met. Family Worship Center in Virginia (Pastor Eddie Trayers) partnered with us meeting the transportation need. Praise the Lord! Now we are planning more trips into the outer islands with our disciples from CTC.

We have two more trips that we are planning at this time. The trip after Arno is a trip into Wotje. The Lord has really opened a door here. Everything we tried to charter wanted about 5,000 dollars to make the trip. We just finished talking with the owners of the Northern Star and they will do it for 1,800 round trip. That is for 30 passengers plus cargo. Praise the Lord, God always makes a way. This trip is planned for the third week of May. So now we are believing God to provide the funds again for transportation. Wotje is about 250 miles north of us. Pray and believe with us for this need, we know He will provide. Where there is vision there is provision!

Sometime after Wotje, we will take a trip to Likiep to do outreach and support the local church there. This will be a small team and we are still putting together our cost estimate. If you would like to help out with our trip to Wotje in May please email us at:
